Six Flags Announces Special Events for 2025 Season

Six Flags recently announced their upcoming special events for 2025.

Six Flags Over Texas, which opened in 1961, has continued to evolve over the years. Until fairly recently, their annual events were limited to Spring Break, Fright Fest, and Holiday in the Park. But now, the park has added numerous events throughout the year, offering something for everyone.

Six Flags spends much of the winter and spring off-season working on upgrades and refurbishments. This year, they are dismantling La Vibora and El Diablo to make room for a new dive coaster, expected to open in 2026. They’re also giving Titan a new paint scheme.

Special events this year kick off with Spring Break, which typically aligns with the Arlington ISD calendar. Viva La Fiesta starts in April, featuring cultural experiences and cuisine. Educational Days, in April and May, offer opportunities for students to explore real-life applications of math, science, and physics in a theme-park setting. Grad Nite is an exclusive event in May for high school seniors to celebrate their graduation. Summerbration captures the energy of the season and includes a Splash Water Parade, allowing guests to cool off from the Texas heat. Star-Spangled Nights offers July 4th fireworks and festivities, serving as the last major event until the fall.

Starting in September, Kids Boo Fest and Fright Fest run concurrently, offering a family-friendly atmosphere during the day and frightening thrills after dark. Oktoberfest, featuring German food, drinks, and entertainment, also typically runs during this time. Holiday in the Park begins around Thanksgiving, transforming Six Flags into a winter wonderland with holiday lights, festive decorations, shows, and seasonal activities.

Six Flags Over Texas continues to be a popular destination for Arlington residents and visitors alike, with its special events offering unique experiences, fun, entertainment, and thrills.
