I was pleased to see an amber beer at Division Brewing recently, as I’ve been digging that style lately and it pairs well with early spring weather.

This beer is called Mayor Brewster—a 5.4% Amber Ale released around October 2025. Evidently, Russ Brewster, the current Mayor of Pantego, is a long-time friend of the brewery and helped them create this one.

Mayor Brewster—the beer, not the man—pours a deep amber color. It’s semi-sweet and malty, with a nice bite. It is refreshing, sessionable, and perfect for the patio. I enjoyed it greatly and will definitely have this one again!
