Celebrating ‘Back to the Future Day’ with a 1985 ad showing local movie theaters

If you had a time-traveling DeLorean, what part of Arlington’s history would you go back to visit? Or would you want to see the future instead?

To celebrate ‘Back to the Future Day,’ which is October 21, we’re traveling back to July 1985 with an ad from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Back to the Future was playing at three Arlington theaters; check the ad below to see which ones. Ronald Reagan was president (“Ronald Reagan? The actor?!”—Remember that line from the movie?) and Arlington only had about 200,000 people. Great Scott, indeed!
