Hugh M. Moore (1882–1949) was elected as Arlington’s Mayor on April 7, 1925. At the time, Arlington had fewer than 4,000 people—that’s about 1% of our current population!
On April 4, 1987, Richard Greene became the Mayor of Arlington, ultimately serving five terms until 1997.
Isaac Lafayette Hutcheson, a notable merchant and one of the charter members of the Arlington Masonic Lodge, died on July 12, 1904. He was buried at Arlington Cemetery.
