Although a Downtown Arlington staple since New Years Eve 2015, I first visited Division Brewing in February 2023. Since then, I’ve become a regular and it’s one of the few places in Arlington I go for a beer.
Division Brewing offers up to 20 beers on tap, with a decent variety and a lineup that regularly changes. They’re generous about giving samples, so I like trying different ones that they release. I also like that they offer half-pours in case you want more than a sample but not a whole glass.
My favorites include:
- Ben Stout (Stout)
- Cocoa Cascade (Stout)
- Sin, Repent, Repeat (Brown Ale)
- Mayor Brewster (Amber)
- Macaroon Morning (Porter)
- Bing to the Bong (IPA)
Though I don’t always remember to take notes, I vow to be more studious in the future! Here are my tasting from the ones I’ve had. Cheers!
Stouts
Now Serving Breakfast — Imperial Stout, 9.5%
March 2026: Coffee, chocolate, and maple flavors. Smooth, satisfying, bold, full-bodied. Not too sweet or heavy; balanced. Nice lacing in the glass. Pillowy, khaki-colored head. Would have a few if lower ABV. Half-pour is plenty, but damn good.
Cocoa Cascade — Nitro Chocolate Stout, 6%
January 2026: “Darkest Night” beer. Damn good. Easy-going. Smooth. Chocolate. Some coffee. Balanced. Beautiful lacing. Mostly plain and simple—and that’s fine with me. Possibly one of the best stouts (and beers) I’ve had from them. Had it several times in December and January.

Cocoa Cascade — Nitro Chocolate Stout
Brisket Britches — Smoked Stout, 7.7%
January 2026: New release in December 2025. Smokey, semi-sweet, strong, smooth, and balanced. Much more balanced and enjoyable than expected. Not too smokey or intense. Definitely a beer for colder weather.
Pitch a Wang Dang Doodle — BBA Imperial Stout, 12%
January 2026: Bourbon Barrel-Aged stout with blueberries. Aged for about two years (longest they’ve aged one is about 14 months) and it started to go more sour than expected. Tried a sample and it was enough for me. Too heavy, too strong, and too sweet.
Nanerz — Chocolate Banana Milk Stout
December 2024: Different, fairly sweet, and pretty good, but definitely more of a dessert beer. No shortage of banana flavor. Tried it, but might not have it again.
Drought & Blight — Irish Stout
November 2024: Tried it, but no notes. Got a photo, though!

Drought & Blight — Irish Stout
Grind and Press — Imperial Coffee Stout, 10.5%
July 2023: A fuckin’ beast. Pours a midnight black color. Made with cold-brew coffee, cocoa, and vanilla, it’s bold, boozy, smooth, and flavorful. Definitely one to sip slowly and savor. Would be even better in the cooler months sitting around a fire pit.
#BrewStacheStrong — Irish Stout, 5.6%
June 2023: Traditional Irish stout. Slightly sweet, malty, and with hints of chocolate and coffee notes. A collaboration with StacheStrong, a non-profit org that raises funds and awareness for brain cancer research. Likely a one-time release.

BrewStacheStrong — Irish Stout
Ben Stout — Oatmeal Stout, 7.2%
February 2023: Hearty oatmeal stout. Dark, smooth, rich, well-balanced, and not too sweet or not too bitter. Subtle chocolate and coffee flavors in its taste and aroma; fluffy, tan-colored head. One of the first stouts (and beers) that I had from Division, and one of my favorites.

Ben Stout — Oatmeal Stout
Pride of Angram — Stout
Dark, smooth, slightly carbonated.
Porters
Three Wise Guys — Christmas Porter
December 2024: Pretty decent. Chocolate, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, and molasses. Festive, warm, and fuzzy; different and enjoyable.
Macaroon Morning — Coconut Porter, 6.8%
April 2023: Dark, smooth, refreshing, semi-sweet, and pairs well with any weather. Enjoyed this one and would love to see it more often at Division.

Macaroon Morning — Coconut Porter
Brown Ales
Sin, Repent, Repeat — Brown Ale, 6%
May 2026: Pours a dark mahogany color, appearing like leather. Malty, semi-sweet, and pleasantly bitter, it’s a bit nutty with tastes of toffee and hints of cola. It’s rich, smooth, and satisfying. Thicker than other brown ales, it has something in the malt that is unique. Would have it again. Interestingly, this time around it was supposed to be one of their stouts, but something happened early in the brewing process and they had to pivot into a brown ale.
Ditch Witch — Brown Ale, 6.5%
January 2026: An excellent alternative to stouts and porters. Pours a dark mahogany brown (especially held up to the late afternoon patio sunlight) and is slightly sweet, with a smooth, nutty, rich, and robust flavor; slightly hoppy and bitter. Always enjoy this one, especially on the patio.

Ditch Witch — Brown Ale
Other Dark Beers
Mayor Brewster — Amber, 5.4%
May 2026: Amber Ale released around October 2025. Russ Brewster, current Mayor of Pantego, is a long-time friend of the brewery and helped them create this one. Beer pours a deep amber color. It’s semi-sweet, malty, and has a nice, crips bite. Refreshing and sessionable. Perfect for the patio. Would have it again!

Mayor Brewster — Amber
Distant Cousin — Dark English Mild, 4%
March 2026: Dark, malty, mild, slightly bittersweet—similar to a porter, but not quite as heavy or coffee-centric. Toffee, nutty, and cola flavors, with a deep mahogany hue. Sessionable and a decent alternative to stouts or porters.
IPA
Sing the Skeleton Electric — Double IPA, 8%
May 2026: Pours a hazy, cloudy-orange color. Piney. Crisp, with a nice bite, this beer is strong, smooth and refreshing, serving as a nice alternative to their ‘Bing to the Bong.’
Sun Voyager — Double IPA, 8%
May 2026: Pale orange color. Piney, hoppy, crisp.
Bing to the Bong — American IPA, 6.8%
April 2026: “Chewy” as described by the bartender, I first had this one when it was fresh. Pours a darker orangish/copper color. It’s dry, crisp, smooth, and refreshing, with a nice bite. It’s exceptionally mild for an IPA with little of the traditional piney, floral, citrus or hoppiness junk. Simple, understated, and much better than expected—probably one of the best IPAs I’ve had from them. Great for warmer weather.

Bing to the Bong — American IPA
Black “I” — Black IPA
December 2024: Not my favorite. Looks like a stout, but tastes like an IPA. Kind of a mindfuck, and not in a good way. The novelty wears off quickly. The only beer from them that I probably wouldn’t have again.
See Between the Esses — IPA
Crisp, clean, refreshing, especially when it’s near 100 degrees outside. Slightly citrusy.
No..means..no..Pepe — Double IPA
Hoppy, smooth, refreshing, floral, citrusy, darker than other IPAs; recommended by one of the beer slingers as their current favorite.
Belma Butte — IPA
Smooth, citrusy, crisp, floral, dry, and slightly hoppy.
Love is an Alien — IPA
Tried it, but no notes.
The Kintner Boy — IPA
Tried it, but no notes.
Misc — Pale Ale, Belgian Wit, Kölsch, Blonde, Mexican Lager
Arlington 150 — Belgian Wit, 6%
May 2026: Limited-edition collaboration with City of Arlington to celebrate Arlington150. Pours a cloudy, pale straw-yellow color. This beer has hints of wheat, clove, bubble gum, and banana. Semi-sweet. Nicely carbonated, filling, has a nice mouthfeel, crisp, and refreshing, especially pairing well on the patio when it’s 90 degrees outside. Though typically not my favorite style, when it’s done properly, as this one, it’s hard to beat.

Arlington 150 “also simply known as 150” — Belgian Wit
Alphamax — Blonde Ale
July 2023: New beer released in June 2023. Hoppy, simple, crisp, refreshing.

Alphamax — Blonde Ale
Fare Thee Well — Table Beer
June 2023: Very pale, cloudy, and highly sessionable. A less common style that most breweries wouldn’t attempt.

Fare Thee Well — Table Beer
Draco’s Tale — Pale Ale
May 2023: New beer that they’ve never done before. Crisp, refreshing, hoppy, smooth with a nice bite, deceptively simple—more complex than it seems. Very tasty, especially for warmer months.

Draco’s Tale — Pale Ale
Jimmy Jack — Kölsch
April 2023: Pale-colored, cloudy, refreshing, clean, crisp with a bite. Enjoyed a sample of this one straight from the tank when it wasn’t canned or on the board yet.

Jimmy Jack — Kölsch
Teleporto — Blonde Ale
March 2023: Tried it, but not many notes. Pours a straw-yellow color, pale. Refreshing.

Teleporto — Blonde Ale
Square Body — Pale Ale
Crisp, refreshing, less hoppy than other pale lagers. Love the can artwork.
Mamalona — Mexican Lager
Unique taste, a nice mouthfeel, and a slightly hoppy. I may have skipped over this one when it was first on the board, but really liked it!

Mamalona — Mexican Lager
Sours and Fruits
Zardaloo — Apricot, Honey, and Vanilla Sour
July 2023: New beer released in June 2023; something different, slightly sweet and slightly sour, acidic, tangy, refreshing, cloudy and pale, with nearly an orangish hue. Probably wouldn’t have it again, but tried it.

Zardaloo — Apricot, Honey, and Vanilla Sour
Rosalee — Hibiscus Wit
Bright pinkish-red hue, refreshing, floral, something different. They said it was probably like nothing I had ever had, and it was.
Strawberry Beers Forever — Strawberry Sour
Only had a sample of this one; definitely out of my comfort zone, as I’m not too familiar (or comfortable) with the style. Not bad, more sweet than sour, but probably not something I would have again. Sours are a divisive style—you either love them don’t.
