Mickey Guyton, a country singer-songwriter from Arlington, released her first full-length album, “Remember Her Name,” on September 24, 2021. The album was nominated for three Grammy awards: Best Country Album, Best Country Song, and Best Country Solo Performance.

Guyton was the first Black female solo artist to be nominated in a country category at the Grammys. Combing elements of contemporary country, pop, and R&B music, she has a unique sound and poignant story-telling her in lyrics.

After moving to Los Angeles to pursue a music career, she later moved to Nashville, releasing her debut single in 2015. She’s released two studio albums along with multiple EPs and singles. Guyton co-hosted the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2021 and sang the national anthem at Super Bowl LVI in 2022.
