A few hours after midnight on Halloween 1998, the historic J. D. Cooper home was destroyed by fire.
While my favorite photos from January featured some color and fun experimentation, for February, I returned to what I like best: black-and-white architecture. These photos are from an afternoon wandering around the UTA campus.
January in Arlington usually has some mild weather to get out and take photos. I mostly photograph architecture and signage, so the majority of these fall into that criteria. Coloring, creative editing, and experimentation were a large part of this month, with fewer black-and-white photos than usual. I also inadvertently created a pinkish aesthetic while editing one of my photos and copied the look to several others.
There were many photos this month that I liked, but these are my ten favorites from January.
UTA is a great place to explore, especially if you like taking photos of buildings and architecture, which I do. The sprawling campus has a quirky mixture of buildings, with materials ranging from brick to glass and steel.
