The Dark Beers of Division Brewing
Division Brewing—a popular brewery in Downtown Arlington—offers a rotating selection of more than a dozen beers on tap. While they are partial to IPAs, they also do many darker beers, including stouts, porters, and others.
Arlington, Texas: Founded along the railroad tracks in 1876
Local historians consider July 19, 1876, to be the date that Arlington, Texas, was founded. It was on that date that the railroad came through our area for the first time, and the tiny settlement that formed around the tracks would become known as Arlington. Events certainly happened here before that date—and many of them were quite significant—but the arrival of the railroad began a new era.
Harold E. Patterson: Arlington Mayor, 1983-1987
Harold Patterson (1929-2009) was more than a lifelong Arlington resident; he was a well-accomplished man who served his community for decades and was known as “Mr. Arlington.”
