The best place in Arlington to get a pint of Guinness is at J.R. Bentley’s Pub. Since 1979, this local icon has been serving pub fare and draft beer. They’re not quite as much of an English pub as they used to be, as new owners (or at least a change in direction) resulted in them dropping most of the English pub décor and menu items, focusing more on burgers and domestic craft beer. Nonetheless, they still do a tasty pint of the black stuff and have a pretty impressive collection of Guinness gear in the pub, too.
More photos coming soon—they have much more than this!

Update: Soon after I posted this, I stopped by J.R. Bentley’s for a pint of Guinness. They were closed—a handwritten note on the door blamed a water leak—and I don’t think they were open again after that. After a few weeks, it soon become evident that they were closed for good. Apparently, their new menu and direction weren’t quite as popular as they thought it would be. I’m disappointed that I didn’t get more photos of their Guinness gear, as they had some really cool stuff in there. They truly did a great pint of Guinness, albeit a little more expensive than other places, but it is one thing I’ll definitely miss about this place.
