Unraveled thread

Back from the dead
Full of certain dread
Eyes seeing bright red
At all the tears I shed
Fear keeps it spread
And followers get led

Murky waters to tread
An unraveled thread
Unjustly born and bred
Words won’t be read
Secrets can’t be said
Give us our daily bread

A past to be fled
Memories to shred
Another chance I pled
It was all in my head
Heart full of lead
On my deathbed.

A poem by Jason S. Sullivan, 11-11-20
