Cradled memories
Buried deep within
Linger in the shadows
Repressed; compressed
Forgotten lullabies
Silent whispers
It all fades away
Might not return
Don’t unlock the door
Let the knock echo
I’ve already revisited
Memories you forgot
Watching the clock melt
Time is expendable
Timid youthful expressions
Amid a cluttered wonderland
How did I get here
Which way to get out
It’s all just a blur
Sinking in a blue fog.
