At the edge of tomorrow
Where today is a mirage
Yesterday never existed
We’re just a moment in time
The red sun still blisters
Nightfall arrives too soon
Time moves much too fast
While floating in the sky
Another day in paradise
A maze with no way out
The poison of obscurity
Flows through my veins
Only warmth from the cold
Is an ill-fitting coat of wood
But winter is a lifetime away
Alas, the drab colors of May.
