The piano sat quiet and waiting
Longing for the familiar caress
Of a woman’s soft touch, to feel —
Her passion, warmth, and vitality
And hear music from her soul
The woman and her piano
Needed each other deeply
To create the sweet music
That would keep both alive
And make both feel whole
But, who creates the music?
Is it the woman or the piano?
Like two birds locked in a cage
Knowing the other holds the key
To inspire and set the other free.
