I knew the snow covered tracks
And hid away so many lies
King Winter lets the rules go lax
When deciding who lives and dies
On a warm spring day
The snow began to melt
I didn’t know what to say
Or how I should have felt
I miss the beautiful blanket of white
Soothing with its gentle allure
It doesn’t care what’s wrong or right
But only if intentions are pure
Longing for winter to see snow again
Watch it fall to the barren ground
It covers up a year’s worth of sin
And buries secrets safe and sound.
