Wasting time

Sitting here, just wasting time
Listening to the clock chime
The day is nearly gone and over
While I wait for a four-leaf clover

The minutes turn into hours
Like pebbles stacked as towers
It all slowly adds up and builds
While the grass dies in the fields

Idle hands and an idle mind
Will only be trouble to find
Watching the world pass me by
Should probably live before I die

Waiting for the perfect moment
Is an impossible opponent
The right time is here and now
Stop asking when, where, and how

Take the first step and then one more
Find the key and unlock the door
No one is going to do it for you
It’s time now to see it through.
