Rambling thoughts
Frayed dreams
Lingering sickness
Lustful withdraws
Dread and worry
Echoed words
Swirling tornadoes
Self-doubt and regret
Dream or nightmare
Both refuse to appear
Floating in the void
Of a sleepless night
As the morning sun
Taunts my tired eyes
I sigh with contempt
At the twisted cruelty.
