A mind full of scars
Eyes lost in the stars
Standing in my own way
Not knowing what to say
Blood, flesh, and bone
Is all I have ever known
Losing the race
Another lost case
Walking a thin line
With a verdict to sign
Afraid to fail
In my own jail
Don’t look for me in a history book
Or give these words another look
Obscurity is a fine place to hide out
Drowning in a muddy lake of doubt.
