No one will read these words
No one will hear this voice
It’s all without reason
I welcomed the chance
To start over again
But I shot it away
Again
With purpose
Impossible
To understand
It all adds up
When you divide
And remove
The barrier
I know your secret
The one you wouldn’t tell
It’s for me to know
And you to wonder
Words unspoken
Buried thoughts
It’s all there
For me to feel
Did you get what you wanted?
Was it enough?
Does it matter?
I came before the memory
I’ll be here after it’s gone
No more thoughts to bury
It’s all sealed in the embers.
