As the shadows fade into the dark
Unborn fires search for their spark
The nighttime sky is far and away
But isn’t tomorrow another day?
A lone wolf howls to the moon above
Searching for a mate to show his love
Unlike you, he has to kill his dinner
And unlike him, you are a sinner
The night is cold and chills to the bone
The rip in your heart cannot be sewn
You’ve come this far but reach a dead end
The road is winding – what’s around the bend?
The darkness fades, the sun is on the rise
A new day is here, right before your eyes
The stars fizzle away into the bright sky
Life has to be lived before you can die.
